My love of baking started when I was four years old in my grandmother Laura's kitchen. She was a great baker and my earliest recollection of baking was rolling the scraps of pate brisee laden with butter and cinnammon in cornets and baking them in the oven. With them hot and buttery we would sit down to afternoon tea. From there I went to my other grandmothers and learned how to make Italian pastries, home-made pastas and sauces and other delights. I was blessed to have a well rounded foundation in cooking and baking. My mother was the most amazing hostess - she had dinner parties that took her six months to plan and I watched her in amazement. This blog is a tribute to all the passion that those three incredible women instilled in me.
